topic: suspense

How appropriate or should I say, à-propos, that this week's topic should be, suspense.

Kris and I flew down to San Francsico, with the girls, on Thursday to apply for our Visa at the French Consulate. We are now wringing our hands as we wait to hear, "Oui ou Non."

What is it that Willy Wonka said, "The suspense is terrible.  I hope it will last."  Well, I don't hope it lasts.  I can't wait to find out.

topic: twirl

When illustrating a topic, it's generally a good idea to ignore the obvious.  

Last week, when I saw the topic, twirl, l knew I should avoid the image of little-girl-twirling-in-a-dress.  But how could I not go there? Twirling is a favorite activity in our house.  

I tried to skew it in a bit unexpected way. Madeleine and Isabelle love climbing, spinning, jumping, dancing, and twirling with their Dad.  And he is excellent at it.

It's a bit macabre, I know.  Not everyday you see a corpse and undertaker on a "mommy blog".  I went where where inspiration took me.
